WhatsApp automation
Official WhatsApp Business API setup with WATI
Green tick, chatbot flows, broadcast templates and a shared team inbox — applied for, configured and supported by a certified WATI partner in Kerala.
What you get with WhatsApp Business API setup
The WhatsApp Business API is the official version of WhatsApp for businesses that need automation, multiple agents on one number, and approved bulk messaging. As a certified WATI partner I handle the whole setup: Meta Business verification, the API application, display-name and green-tick submission, chatbot flow building, message template approval, team inbox configuration, and integration with your ads, website and CRM. Support and training are available in Malayalam.
WhatsApp Business app vs WhatsApp Business API
Most Kerala businesses start on the free WhatsApp Business app and outgrow it without realising there is an official next step. The difference:
| Business app (free) | Business API (WATI) | |
|---|---|---|
| Devices / agents | One phone, limited linked devices | Unlimited agents on one number, shared inbox |
| Automation | Greeting and away messages only | Full chatbot flows, keyword routing, conditional logic |
| Bulk messaging | Broadcast to saved contacts only, high ban risk | Approved template broadcasts to opted-in contacts |
| Green tick | Not available | Available on approval |
| Integrations | None | Meta lead ads, CRM, Google Sheets, payments, Shopify |
| Cost | Free | Platform subscription plus Meta conversation charges |
If you handle more than roughly 30 enquiries a day, have more than one person replying, or want leads answered outside working hours, the API pays for itself quickly.
What gets built
- Instant reply to every ad lead. A click-to-WhatsApp ad or lead form pushes straight into WATI, and the first message goes out in seconds — which is where most Kerala businesses lose enquiries.
- Qualifying chatbot. Two or three questions that sort a serious buyer from a browser before a human is involved, in Malayalam or English.
- Approved templates. Broadcast messages written to pass Meta's template review the first time — offers, reminders, order updates, festival campaigns.
- Team inbox. Assign chats to staff, add notes and tags, see who replied and who did not.
- Follow-up sequences. Automatic nudges for people who went quiet, which typically recovers a meaningful share of dead leads.
- Reporting. Response times, chat volumes, agent performance and broadcast delivery.
Setup timeline
- Day 1–2: requirement call, number selection and Meta Business verification check.
- Day 2–4: API application, display name submission, WATI workspace creation.
- Day 4–7: chatbot flows built, templates submitted for approval, team accounts created.
- Week 2: team training session in Malayalam, then go live.
Business verification is the usual bottleneck. If your documents are ready — GST or business registration, matching address proof, a business email on your own domain — it moves quickly.
Number and green tick notes
A number that is already on the WhatsApp Business app can be migrated, but it must be deleted from the app first and cannot be used in the app afterwards. Many businesses keep the old number for personal-scale chats and put a new number on the API. The green tick is a separate Meta decision based on brand notability — it is applied for, not purchased, and is not guaranteed.
